The vintage hankies used In this creation have beautiful details and shapes and complimentary blue and green daiseys and carnations in addition to a bit of lime green crocheted trim. The center apron even has its own flowers stitched along the edges. The waist ties are extra long are made with a bright lime green grosgrain ribbon. These ties are long to allow for a beautiful bow in the front as pictured. Look closely on the left side to see the hidden hankie pocket with a lovely bit of embroidered hanky atop an elegant green hem stitched vintage hanky and on the right you will see a delicate bit of white hanky atop the rest of the same green stitched hanky. The lining of the apron is a quilt quality white on white flowered cotton. All of these details add to the special beauty of this apron. I love the little pockets to keep my cell phone or recipe cards handy.

Due to the delicate nature of the handkerchiefs, this apron should be laundered using a gentle cycle and cold water. A few minutes in a cool dryer or air dry is also recommended. The hankies may be ironed, but wrinkles should simply fall out if misted and hung to dry.
