When my daughter was little we would read together. First we read golden books, quickly followed by the Little House on the Prairie series. I am sure that this habit of reading together is what made her the avid reader and adventurer she is today. I always think of my daughter while making these special pocket pillows.

This beautiful pillow is made from prewashed soft non pill flannel. Both the front and back are this soft peach colored flannel with little brown hedge hog print. The front has two little hedge hogs embroidered on the tan cotton pocket. The front tan cotton pocket is trimmed with light blue satin blanket binding. Just below the pocket in the front is a zipper so that you can easily take your pillow form out to launder the cover. The top of the pillow has a fabric handle just perfect for carrying around the pillow. This very special pocket pillow will make a memorable gift for some little reader.

The pillows front pocket is 10" by 16" and has a two sweet little hedge hog with the saying "a hedgie for me, a hedgie for you now let's read a book or two" machine embroidered on it. As seen in the picture, this pocket is large enough to hold a good sized hardback book.

The overall size of the pillow is 16" square. This listing is for the pillow cover only. It will easily fit an 18" pillow form. There is a zipper just below the pocket on the front so that you can easily insert your pillow form.
